Tournament RULES
_______
PHASE 1 - pool phase

The tournament is played in 4 pools, each pool containing 6 teams sorted by an algorythm of KRC :-) (7 teams for pool D)
Official games are taking place between 19h and 21h (UTC).
Games played in another schedule are not counted.

Each team attack all the others, so we should have 30 games played per pool in total (42 for pool D).
WIN - 3pts
DRAW - 2pts
LOST - 1pt
GAME NOT DONE - 0pts for the provoker that did not provok, 3 pts for the team that for this reason missed a game.

The 2 first players of the pool go to phase 2.

_______
PHASE 2 - final phase
All games of final phases are played in 4 games (each players provok 2 games and if tied, goal average occurs).

Quarter-final
The first of POOL A meets the second of POOL D (QF1)
The second of POOL B meets the first of POOL C (QF2)
The second of POOL A meets the first of POOL D (QF3)
The first of POOL B meets the second of POOL C (QF4)

Semi-final
The winner in QF1 meets the winner in QF2
The winner in QF3 meets the winner in QF4

The two winners meet in a final, in 4 games (each players provok twice each and if tied, goal average occurs)

The winner gain nothing appart the respect of the 24 others players... :-)

The 2 first players of each pool are upgraded to the upper pool while the 2 last players are downgraded.

Enjoy ! and most important to increase succes of the WRL internal tournament > play your games !!

Tournament RULES Empty Algorithm

Post by KRC Ardooie Fri 1 Apr - 19:17

The "algorithm from KRC" is very simple...

Ranking of the teams is determined by
- level of championship
- average strength of the team (at 3.00 pm UTC, 1st of April)
We could have used Average strength, number of supporters,... but we opted for the above ranking system.

Flammes wanted to have the 6 strongest teams together in group A, numbers 7 to 12 in group B and so on... so within each group all the teams have more or less the same stength.

The other option was to have groups who have more or less the same strength:
Group A: 1, 8, 9, 17, 18, 25
Group B: 2, 7, 10, 16, 19, 24
Group C: 3, 6, 11, 15, 20, 23
Group D: 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 21, 22

This might be used in the future...
